High School Seniors Are Making Awesome Art in Their Parking Spaces
When they’re not flooded (and therefore providing us with opportunities for hilarity), parking lots are big, empty canvases. It seems like a waste of perfectly good black asphalt to not decorate all that space with something, right? I have good news for those of you who want a little more beautification in your urban landscapes. Parking lots across the country are getting prettier, and it’s thanks to an unlikely source: high school students! Yes, a demographic better known for making things uglier is turning parking lots into artworks. Some American high schools are allowing their seniors to paint their reserved parking spaces, and the results are surprisingly cool. Twitter dedicated a Moments page to the trend this week, showing us some of the best artwork high school students are making. Here are a few of the coolest we’ve found online:
