Usain Bolt’s Glorious Smile Wins the Meme Olympics (And the Real Ones)
When he’s not getting wiped out by Segway-riding cameramen, Usain Bolt is widely known as the fastest sprinter in the world. Coming into Rio, he already had six gold medals and unusual career longevity for someone in his discipline. What got the internet’s attention this past week wasn’t his dominance in the 100 meter sprint, however — it was the way in which he won it. Yeah, anything where a black man is portrayed as a literal pack animal is not okay. But let’s focus on the positive, shall we? This meme, much like Bolt himself, is golden. What do you think? Was Usain Bolt in the right to smile while winning, or was he being a poor sport? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
