Marv From ‘Home Alone’ Reunited With a Former Co-Star: A Tarantula

  • Daniel Stern, AKA the guy who played Marv the Wet Bandit in the first two Home Alone movies, has once again terrified us with his YouTube channel. We covered his first video, in which he responds to Macaulay Culkin’s appearance on the web series DRYVYRS in character as Marv. Stern is right back at it, pumping out some more of that quality Home Alone content. Here’s what you need to know in order to get this video: 1. Home Alone was an incredibly popular movie, so there’s a good chance you’ll understand this without having to read any further. 2. In the movie, Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McCallister fights back against Marv, played by Stern, and Harry, played by Joe Pesci, as they try to rob his house while he’s home alone on Christmas . 3. One of the ways Kevin does this is by dropping a tarantula on Marv’s face, as seen here:

  • Get it? Got it. Good. Stern recently posted a video of himself (shirtless for some reason) with the brilliant title “Home Alone Co-Star resurfaces after 26 years”. Here’s the original video:

  • Yep, that’s a tarantula. And in case you read ahead and haven’t seen the video yet: I won’t spoil the surprise, but let’s just say if you’re a fan of Home Alone you’re in for a nostalgic treat. According to Wikipedia, Stern has been busy since his Home Alone days. He works as a bronze sculpture artist, served as Honorary Chairman of the California PTA, owns a 500-acre cattle ranch, and was awarded the United States’ highest honor for volunteerism, the President’s Call to Service Award, by President Obama in 2009. All that comes in addition to his acting career — you may have seen him appear recently in WGN’s Manhattan. What do you think?
