People Are Pissed Ariana Grande Wasn’t Nominated For An Emmy

Emmy nominations have arrived and people are pissed! Unsurprisingly, Game of Thrones retains the title of highest nominated show with 23 nominations this year (last year they had 24). Twitter was abuzz with happiness for the show who literally blew everyone out of the water with its sixth season finale.

Of course, there is controversy on the horizon, as there is with any award show. Apparently, prior to the nomination announcement. the Emmy’s twitter account was liking tweets about Ariana Grande. This led fans to believe that that she would receive a nomination for her outstanding performance on Saturday Night Live. However, Grande was not nominated for any awards leaving fans enraged that the Emmy’s used Grande for promotion all while snubbing her.
