Twitter Hilariously Reacts to Tim Tebow Speaking at the RNC

  •  America’s meatheart Tim Tebow has been hinting at a career in politics for almost five freaking years. Now his dreams are becoming a reality.  News broke on the New York Times recently that Tim Tebow has joined the roster of speakers at the upcoming Republican National Convention. Ultra-controversial presumptive nominee Donald Trump has had a great deal of trouble attracting high-profile conservatives to speaking slots at the convention, and has promised that he’ll turn to athlete and celebrities. Tim Tebow is the first sports star (if you can call a third-string quarterback who washed out of the league a “star”) to join the roster.  This story has all the ingredients to send Twitter into a frenzy: the giant punchline that is Tim Tebow’s over-hyped, failed career; Trump grasping at straws to get someone, anyone to speak with him; and, of course, Trump’s overt racism and xenophobia. And send Twitter into a frenzy it did. Some offered legit, serious criticisms, but most just tweeted jokes.  Enough out of me, here are some funny tweets!
