Watch Video Evidence of Fox Anchors Being Sexist to Gretchen Carlson

  • Yesterday we reported that Gretchen Carlson is suing her former employers at Fox News for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. One of the claims in her lawsuit is that she was removed from her anchor position on Fox & Friends because she complained about the behavior of co-host Steve Doocy. Now, Bloomberg has presented video evidence of this alleged douchebaggery. The video, which was posted today by the Bloomberg Politics channel, highlights a number of cringeworthy, awkward, and sexist comments made by Doocy and other anchors and guests on the show. They repeatedly comment on Carlson’s appearance, often sexualizing her without her consent. Carlson (along with every other woman appearing in the video) looks visibly uncomfortable throughout. She occasionally fights back, even calling co-host Steve Doocy “just sexist.” Here are just a few of the comments Gretchen Carlson endures over the course of the video: “Gretchen is really too hot. Blame her.”   “Gretchen, I guess what you’re wearing right now — the skirt — might cause some problems.”   “Defer to the babe.”   “Doesn’t waxing hurt?” Yeesh. Unsurprisingly, YouTube commenters, being the scum of the earth, have heavily disliked this video. User DickJohnson3434’s comment sums up the butthurt internet dude response: “Can you imagine how horrible it would be to be on a TV show with two women, making millions of dollars and have to endure the women talking about how handsome you are? Women have it so tough in this world, I don’t understand how they can be so strong to cope with it.” Yeah, that’s not how it works at all. Sexualizing someone without their consent is uncool, regardless of the genders of all parties involved. If you can’t distinguish this obvious creepiness from “complimenting” someone, you’re probably really f*cking creepy yourself. What do you think? Is Gretchen Carlson right to fight back against sexism, or are you a horrible manbaby who doesn’t understand what “no” means? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
