Therapy Dogs Provide Solace to Orlando Survivors

  •  People from all across the world are showing their support for the people of Orlando. But compassion isn’t a uniquely human virtue — The Dodo reports that dogs are getting in on the act as well.  That’s right. When they’re not busy dancing or dressing like bunnies, some dogs are specially trained to comfort people in times of distress. We reported on comfort dogs hanging out at airports over the holidays, but they also get down to work in crises like this one.  On Monday, 12 comfort dogs coordinated by Chicago-based Lutheran Church Charities flew out to Orlando and got to work. Each dog has its own Facebook page; here are some of their completely adorable posts:
