What the Hell Happened to JGL’s Voice in the Snowden Trailer?

The official trailer for Oliver Stone’s opus based on the story of Edward Snowden has been released, and all people can focus on is how strange actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt sounds! JGL, true to his professionalism, appears to have chosen to mimic Snowden’s voice since the two are very different in appearance. However, as pointed out by a fellow co-worker, when you’re dealing with someone who already sounds like an SNL mimcry of himself, it’s hard to sound believable. Props to Levitt for trying, it’s definitely a catch-22, and on the other hand, the slinky, sexy trailer is getting audiences pumped to what would normally be considered a run-of-the-mill spy movie (even though it’s based on real life events).
