Anderson Cooper Demonstrates How to Win an Argument with a Five-Year-Old
VIDEO: Trump on Cruz: “He started it.” Cooper: “That’s the argument of a five year-old.” https://t.co/P5xxdMd4R5 — Zach Wolf (@zbyronwolf) March 30, 2016 At last night’s GOP Town Hall in Milwaukee, WI, CNN’s Anderson Cooper called out Donald Trump for making the argument five-year-old as he justified his Twitter beef with rival Ted Cruz by claiming a “I didn’t start it” defense. Cooper (the MVP of the evening, btw) was left incredulous. It was a moment that would have had the Dali Lama shooting fire out of his ears and hauling Trump off-stage by his made-in-China tie. After Trump defended his retweet of an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz next to a glamorous shot of his own wife by disingenuously saying, “I thought it was a nice picture of Heidi!” Cooper reminded him that he’s running for President of the United States. “I didn’t start it,” Trump said, and Cooper responded with the line of the night and possibly the rest of the campaign season: “Sir, with all due respect, that’s the argument of a five-year-old.” Cooper remained calm and pressed the issue until he realized it would be pointless to continue. Props to him for not giving The Donald a pass.
